Cherry Blossoms NYC
In the heavy winter months of cold and everything hibernating, those first pops of soft pink and white is a promise that only warmth and life is headed our way! It’s almost therapeutic to see and feel those beautiful petals, and when I was asked to do a family shoot amongst them I was so excited!
We met in Central Park on the upper East side where I scouted the Blossoming Cherry Trees the week before. (You don’t have to ask me twice to take a beautiful walk in Central Park).
Here are a few images from this session. The beautiful family amongst the Cherry Blossoms…
I do have an emotional reaction when I see all the Cherry Blossoms, and that’s definitely how I shoot and choose the images for final edit. Photography is an art, and art is emotional.
This is one of my favorite shots. While the family was standing in front of this tree, I walked around to the side, placing myself behind a few branches. The soft light coming through and the way mom was angled, made this a very beautiful photo. On my website, I do state that I love to capture “Natural and Candid Photos” and I love to look and find these hidden spots - photography is my “creative playground” (Thanks AI for finding those perfect words to describe my approach).
Black and white photos are timeless, but I always give the full color to my clients as well, because I never know which one they prefer.
This was such a beautiful day in Central Park with a beautiful family!
